How a Contest is Conducted

If your school is selected to host your district contest and you will conduct the district Accounting contest, a valuable tool is the UIL Spring Meet Manual (or Handbook).  This handbook is also used by regional contest directors.  The section for Accounting will reinforce the rules as set forth in the C&CR, but will also offer suggestions and much more detail about how a contest should be run.  The Spring Meet Manual (once it is updated for the current year), is available online at the UIL Academics website.

Students interested in knowing what to expect on contest day may want to download this handout called A Typical Contest Day.  Also of benefit to students is the handout called Testing Tips.
